Clara Gaff in Bahrain
Executive Director of Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance, Clara Gaff, recently gave a keynote address to the Bahrain Genome Project, sharing the experience in Victoria of implementing genomics into the clinic.

Clara's address focused on Melbourne Genomics' collaborative and whole-of-system approach - a collaborative model that forms the basis of national work through the Australian Genomics Health Alliance. Clara also presented details of Melbourne Genomics' Demonstration Project, along with interim evaluation results. There was particular interest in the participants' choices regarding sharing of their data.

"All over the world, health providers are grappling with the challenges of implementing genomics into clinical practice," said Clara. "In Bahrain, it was exciting to be able to share our experience and also hear how other countries such as Canada, Japan, Italy and Saudi Arabia are approaching these challenges."
