Projects that developed the infrastructure, software, policies, procedures and agreements necessary to ensure ethical and secure access to genomic data for clinicians and patients.

The summaries below present key findings, experience and lessons learnt from our data and information system projects, including design and build of the GenoVic system.

Developed by Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance for implementation by the Alliance members, GenoVic provides a common system to store, manage, analyse and interpret genomic data.

The genomic data and information system projects operated under governance of the Diagnostic Advisory Group – an expert group of senior health professionals from the ten Melbourne Genomics member organisations – and the GenoVic Project Control Group, comprised of professionals experienced in information management.
