Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance exists to turn the promise of genomic medicine into a reality, for all Victorians who need it.
Our studies have shown how genomics can help people find answers, get better care, and live healthier lives.
Now we’re working with the Victorian Government to embed genomics in the state’s health system.
Current projects (2021-25)
These projects will help embed genomics in the Victorian health system: getting genomics into practice; building the expertise of the workforce; and increasing the use of genomic data for clinical care and research.
Completed projects (2016-20)
These projects laid the foundations for genomics in Victoria: establishing its clinical utility; investigating key considerations for bringing genomics into clinical care; and developing necessary education programs, software and procedures.
